Had the opportunity to make some lovely portraits with my friend Tenzing in SE Portland.
She's a talented entrepreneur and an insightful person. You can feel the care and patient attention she brings to her relationships.
An underrated aspect of successful entrepreneurship is the people you surround yourself with. It can take years, especially if your formative relationships were less than supportive, to develop a good radar for what mutually-nourishing relationships look like and feel like.
It took me awhile.
But it's one of those dynamics where the proof is in the pudding. Successful people have a life full of nourishing relationships. They cultivate a network of rich insight, alternate perspectives and warm hugs (if that's your thing).
You can tell when somebody has achieved a level of success through exploitation and disrespect. It just feels ... unsteady 😏 fractured, chaotic.
I hope you feel loved today.
