Photos from a recent visit to Tacoma, Washington — a PNW town I’ve become quite fond of.
Tacoma gets a diminutive bad wrap as Seattle's smaller sibling, but it possesses a richness all its own. Each time I visit, I'm reminded why I enjoy capturing the distinctive character of communities up and down the West Coast.
Built on a hill overlooking the Puyallup River, Tacoma has green plants, a vibrant art scene and a thriving queer community. The city's unique topography and cultural landscape offer visual storytelling opportunities that reflect its authentic identity rather than tourist clichés.
I went up for a wrestling show at the Tacoma Dome. I'll be back again before long. As a photographer based in Portland, I regularly travel throughout Washington, Oregon, and California for client work — bringing the same observant eye and relationship-first approach wherever I go.

Unlike stock photography, these images capture genuine stories and real places with the narrative depth that connects audiences to your message more deeply.
